Thanks for stopping by!
A few years ago, my mom and I were taking a road trip from Seattle to Phoenix. On the way down, we found wonderful restaurants to eat at and crazy cool things to see. Being big sports fans, we also stopped to watch four MLB games at four different stadiums. At each one, I found myself asking the same questions. None of which I was finding the answers to. So, this dream of creating a place where I could answer those questions for others was born.
Since then, my love for both sports and travel has grown. However, I also found that my passion for people and new experiences has driven my curiosity. Personally, placing myself outside of my comfort zone is the best way I learn and grow. The more I explore, the more I feel at home in far off places and surrounded by new faces. Luckily, I know that if I ever feel too uncomfortable, I can always run back to my safety net. I can always go home.
Essentially, this love for global citizenship combined with a passion for sports, is what inspired the name Ninety Feet from Home.
Ninety feet is all that separates third base from home plate. It’s so close to safety. The space in between is risky and unknown. And yet, it is so worth it. Just remember- wherever you adventure, you can always find home.
